Goals from Andre Ayew and Ben Cabango saw Swansea beat free scoring Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
A number of changes didn’t affect Swansea City as Dhanda kept his place in the number 10 position with Cabango and Naughton starting and Grimes benched for the first time in 89 league games.
Swansea opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Cabango headed home beyond visiting keeper Aynsley Pears.
Swansea doubled their lead when he thumped a header after good work from Yan Dhanda.
Blackburn who have been scoring goals for fun were restricted to very few chances and credit has to go to Swansea for how they played
After the game Steve Cooper spoke about the importance of Andre Ayew
Andre is a leader, regardless of whether or not he wears the armband,”
“He always stands up and leads by example. He’s a massive influence at this club.
Next for Swansea is a tough away trip to Brentford on Tuesday where as Blackburn are home to Middlesbrough, formally managed by current manager Tony Mowbray.
