Derby County are close to signing Liverpool left-back Owen Beck on a loan deal, according to The Telegraph reporter John Percy.
The two clubs have reportedly reached an agreement and the 22-year-old is expected to undergo a medical later this week.
Derby boss John Eustace looks to have played a major role in bringing Beck to the Pride Park Stadium, having managed the player during his time at Blackburn Rovers.
The young defender also had interest from Rangers, but the English Championship club have seemingly won the race for him in latest transfer news.
Beck enjoyed a superb campaign in Scotland while on loan at Dundee during the 2023-24 season. He was named in the PFA Premiership Team of the Year after featuring in 28 matches and making six goal contributions.
The Wales Under-21 international spent last season on loan at Blackburn. He impressed with his performances during the first half of the campaign but was ruled out for the remainder of the season after sustaining an injury in April.
Derby have been very busy in the ongoing transfer window. They recently completed a move for United States striker Patrick Agyemang from Charlotte FC.
With the transfer fee worth up to £7.3 million, Agyemang becomes the most expensive signing the Rams have made since David Clowes took ownership of the club back in 2022.
This came after Derby wrapped up deals for Carlton Morris, Danny Batth, Richard O’Donnell and Andreas Weimann.
Derby endured a difficult season in the Championship after earning their promotion from League One in 2023-24.
The Rams sacked manager Paul Warne in February after the club dropped into relegation trouble following seven successive league defeats.
They appointed Eustace as replacement, who led them to Championship safety on the final day of the season with a goalless draw against Stoke City.
